Caymus Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2023 is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Wagner family's Napa Valley winery, founded in Rutherford in 1972 by Charlie and Lorna Wagner with their son Chuck. It is aged in French oak and made in Caymus's signature ripe, plush, approachable style, at about 14.2% ABV. This 1 liter bottle is a generous format for the table.
Aromas of cocoa, cassis, and ripe dark berries. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with blackberry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, mocha, and vanilla over soft, ripe tannins, and the finish is long and smooth. Pair it with prime rib, ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb, or aged hard cheeses.
